Located in the picturesque village of Ravenglass on the western side of the Lake District, the Pennington was beautifully refurbished in 2007. It is just one mile from Muncaster Castle and nearby, the narrow-gauge Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway travels through seven miles of beautiful countryside, ending its journey at the recently enhanced "Dalegarth-For-Boot" station in Eskdale at the foot of Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain.
