Due to part of the hotel being closed because of fire damage, the Imperial Swallow will be running as a limited service budget-style hotel during the refurbishment period with no restaurant or bar available to guests.
The Imperial swallow is due to re-open May 2009.
Rooms now available at the hotel are en-suite twin and single rooms and consist of television, coffee/tea making facilities, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and trouser press. All single rooms have queen size beds. These rooms have not been affected by fire damage in any way.
The hotel is situated half a mile from the lively city centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne with bars, clubs and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very popular with weekend stag and hen party groups and so is not suitable for any guest seeking a quiet weekend stay.
