Commanding spectacular panoramic views over Loch Fyne, the castle is an outstanding example of fine Scottish baronial architecture. Originally built in 1837 for the Campbell family, it stands high on the Kintyre peninsula above the picturesque village of Tarbert. The hotel is set in 60 acres of woodland gardens overlooking Loch Fyne. The public rooms still retain the original ornate ceilings, wood panelled rooms and a blazing open fire whilst the bedrooms are tastefully furnished and offer a mixture of views over the gardens and Loch Fyne.
Easy-breaks.com comment: Beautiful building standing at the entrance to Tarbert and commanding great views over Loch Fyne.
