Enjoyed a terrific two night break at the Derwent Manor Hotel. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel staff are very welcoming and the service at dinner was very good on both nights. Stayed for a 2 night break. Large comfortable room. Food was very good and staff pleasant and helpful. Weather was cold with snow so the pool and sauna facilities were great. Would be happy to return....
The only complaint about this hotel was the food in the restaurant. Although there were about 8 options for each course it was the same menue for a week. For me to have a change from fish it was necessary to choose something which carried a supplement and side dishes eg veg were extra. No chicken dish was on offer on the menu. Booked this just a week before we went, seemed like a good deal. The hotel itself is nicely positioned off the main road with views of the surrounding countryside, however, the driveway to reach the hotel does not give a good first impression, it is full of potholes, deep potholes.
