Set in 20 acres of Northumbrian countryside overlooking the Derwent Valley, the Derwent Manor was built using the reclaimed stones and beams from six church ruins. The hotel features a modern leisure club with pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and air-conditioned gym. The integral pub, the Grouse and Claret, serves fine Northumbrian fare, while more sophisticated dishes are served in Guinevere’s Restaurant.
