Rated 5 out of 5.
Excellent hotel with super-friendly and helpful staff. Dog loved the strokes and the grounds. Tower room is spectacular with windows on 2 sides and 4-poster. Nice touches in the room and round the hotel. Busy time with Christmas meals and parties but we were always well tended to as guests there for a birthday break and not forgotten which is great (and fairly common). Great base for the area....

The hotel has recently changed hands. It was always good but is now excellent. The owners and staff treat one as an honoured guest and are so caring. New decoration and cooking also particularly praiseworthy. ...
