The hotel is of a good standard but management fails it. It took nearly two hours to serve the evening dinner, we were not asked if we required drinks on both evenings, we had to ask for bread rolls. It was disappointing that the vegetables were frozen and the same on both nights. Apple crumble was tinned apples. We asked to be served our coffee in the lounge but had repeatably to ask for it, it arrived after half an hour. The bar was not staffed.
On our first visit last year the dinning room was near the kitchen, this time the area for dinning was as far away from the kitchen as possible and staff had to carry plates of food through the lounge area. Also the area was not large enough to accommodate all the diners.
The room allocated on arrival was very noisy because of the kitchen fans, however the receptionist was very helpful in finding a room in another location.
Overall, unless there is a big shakeup in management and training this hotel will go out of business, people will not return with the service offered.
