Most enjoyable stay in Carlisle, we travelled by car and parked free behind the Hotel, but would go again by train as the Hotel is outside the main entrance of the Railway Station. Free tickets to visit the Tuillie House Museum and Art Gallery located in the city centre, short walk from the Hotel well worth the visit, plus the Cathedral, Castle and a good shopping centre, everything on the doorstep, other residents used their bus passes to visit out and around Carlisle, including Adrian' s Wall and Hexham.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, good atmosphere everywhere. The food was excellent, bedrooms were newly furnished and spacious. Will make another booking later in the year for Christmas shopping.
