Room was rear facing, and overlooked the staff accomodation - barely any view. The "double bed" was 2 single beds pushed together, although the headboards were screwed to the wall meaning that it just looked wrong. The temperature on the over-bath shower could not be adjusted: we told reception and they did try to get it fixed (couldn't be fixed, apparently) after which they offered us another room.
The set evening meal was a reasonable choice, although we were expected to order all 3 courses at once. The reason for this soon became clear, when it almost semed to be a challenge to see how quickly the guests could be fed their 3 courses and cleared out of the dining room - I doubt many people managed to make their meal last as long as an hour. We saw people who had asked for a bottle of wine being brought it as they were finishing up their main course.
One quirky point that we liked is that the hotel has a little "cinema", although the screen is too small for the room. While we were there there were free screenings each evening at 8:30pm - another reason to eat your evening meal quickly!
