We had a lovely large bedroom with good ensuite facilities. Unfortunately we have given this hotel an overall rating of 1 due to the fact that they were extremely understaffed and the service was appalling. The food was very good but we had to wait an hour and a quarter before we were served our main course. We did feel that the fault did not lie with the one member of staff who was trying to please everyone in the dining room but total lack of staffing. The same occurred at breakfast and tables weren't laid, we weren't asked what we would like to eat, nearly everything on the buffet table needed filling, no marmalade at all either day, no menues for one to select choice of cooked breakfast. Very disappointing overall as hotel was nice.
