Bakewell

Bakewell

The charming market town of Bakewell lies on the borders of the picturesque Peak District within the Derbyshire Dales. The town is divided into two parts by the sparkling River Wye, which makes for some outstanding photographic opportunities in the area. There are many attractive places for visitors to discover in the area, from the grand Chatsworth Estate to the medieval Haddon House. The area is also ideal for outdoor breaks, with plenty of trails and pathways to walk, hike or cycle, as well as a whole host of leisure activities. The area is known for the ‘Bakewell pudding’ an English pastry dessert, which originated in the town, and a delight that can be found at many cafes, bakeries and restaurants.
