Darlington

Darlington

A unique and contemporary market town with a distinct historical atmosphere, located in the Tees Valley between the cities of York and Newcastle. The area has a thriving arts scene and visitors can catch performances at the Edwardian Civic Theatre or watch live music at The Forum Music Centre.

In recent years the town centre has undergone a transformation, named ‘The Pedestrian Heart’ – which has seen the prohibition of vehicles in the town centre as well as much refurbishment and new business. This reinvestment has proved successful and the area is growing in reputation as one of the finest holiday locations in the North of England.

We love Darlington because...

  • Unique market town
  • Thriving arts scene
  • Distinct historical atmosphere
