Piercebridge

Piercebridge

This historic village lies in Darlington, within the heart of Durham in the North of England. The village was once the site of a Roman fort, a Celtic kingdom and Georgian and Victorian holiday destination. Today Piercebridge seamlessly blends the old and the new, with independent businesses and internationally famous brands standing door to door. There are many historic buildings to visit, including White Cross Cottage and the Church of St Mary. The area also makes for a perfect base from which to explore the Yorkshire Moors, as well as the rugged Pennine Way.

We love Piercebridge because...

  • Intriguing local history
  • Close to Yorkshire Moors
  • Ideal base for exploring
