Morecambe

The picturesque seaside town of Morecambe has long been a popular holiday destination, offering all the best elements of the British seaside holiday – from sandy beaches and a busy promenade, to amusements and entertainment. Located within Lancashire, the wider area is sure to reward visitors with nearby pleasant towns and villages, as well as the historic city of Lancaster a few miles inland, with a whole host of attractions and shopping opportunities.

Morecambe boasts a good selection of theatres and live music venues if you’re looking to catch a show, while a range of bars and restaurants ensures there’s a lively nightlife on offer too. There are also plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, with both Arndale and the Forest of Bowland nearby and each is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Adventurous visitors can try their hand at windsurfing or sailing, but for those who prefer dry land, then the area is ideal for bird watching, hill climbing, cycling and much more.
