Preston

Preston

The vibrant city of Preston is a wonderful location for a holiday, with many beautiful grade I and II listed buildings to see, fascinating historical sites, a lively nightlife and close proximity to the natural splendour of both the west coast as well as the further afield Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The traditional seaside resort of Blackpool is less than a half an hour journey from Preston, allowing visitors to spend the day exploring the beaches and enjoying the promenades, arcades and bars. Liverpool and Manchester are both located roughly a one-hour drive away enabling day trips to some of the most eclectic cities in England. Preston has a rich cultural history, especially dating from the industrial revolution, which saw the city propelled forward and gentrified, with a large merchant class who thrived off the textile industry.

We love Preston because...

  • Close to the Yorkshire Dales
  • Nearby to beachside resort
  • Fascinating historical sites
