St Annes Beach

This broad sandy beach is a major draw to the area for tourists, who often enjoy taking leisurely strolls down the pleasure pier or coastline and enjoying the holiday atmosphere. The Victorian pier hosts a number of quaint shops, restaurants and cafés to explore as well as attractive gardens and miniature golf.

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club

This prestigious golf club was founded way back in 1886, making it one of the oldest courses in England and solidifying its iconic status within the area. The club has now hosted eleven Open Championships and two Ryder Cups over the years, as well as a number of other tournaments. The challenging nature of the course makes it a firm favourite among golf veterans, however it’s also a good place for beginners to learn their craft in a historic and vibrant setting.

The Ribble Discovery Centre

This wonderful attraction astounds visitors with its wonderful interactive displays and passionate volunteers who are on hand to explain more about the birdlife on the Ribble Estuary. This area is one of the most hospitable in the country for a number of different bird species, from migratory birds to indigenous species. Visitors can also enjoy exploring the many wildlife walks in the area, where they can spot birds in their natural habitat.
