Abingdon

Abingdon

Abingdon-on-Thames is a market town blessed with an abundance of delightful historic buildings, set in a majestic location amidst the attractive Oxfordshire scenery. Evidence points to this town being the earliest continually occupied town in Britain with evidence of a settlement dating back 6,000 years. The town is well placed for travel further afield to one of the many charming villages or towns, as well as the historic city of Oxford. Guests also have the option of going on a riverside walk along the sparkling River Thames that runs through the town.

We love Abingdon because...

  • Delightful historic buildings
  • On banks of River Thames
  • Ideal for history lovers
