Torquay

Torquay

Located within the heart of the ‘English Riviera’ in Devon, this quaint seaside location is famous for its stunning beaches, traditional holiday atmosphere and quaint town centre. The vibrant town came to popularity during the Victorian era as a seaside resort, which has left the town with a distinctly Victorian feel to it, evident in the pleasant architecture and traditional seaside features. Today the town is also known for its delightful variety of theatres and excellent selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. The climate is often described as ‘Mediterranean’ in the summer months and the beautiful sandy beach attracts visitors and locals alike to its shores all year around.

We love Torquay because...

  • Stunning sandy beaches
  • Dubbed the ‘English Riviera’
  • Quaint seaside location
