Bradford

Bradford

A bustling and exciting town located in the heart of Yorkshire, with an ideal location a mere eight miles from the city of Leeds and the gorgeous English countryside on your doorstep. The area gained notoriety for producing the literary prodigies; the Brontë sisters, who’s work includes Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfeell Hall, with many local areas providing inspiration to the many settings within the books. Make sure to visit Brontë Parsonage Museum, which was the family’s home and now exists as a museum highlighting their achievements and celebrating their lives. There are many other nearby attractions and we recommend travellers take a day trip out to one of the nearby cities of Leeds or York, for many more sightseeing, retail therapy and entertainment opportunities.

We love Bradford because...

  • A bustling Yorkshire town
  • Home of the Brontë sisters
  • Nearby heritage railway line
