Northallerton

Northallerton

An exciting market town located within the sedate countryside county of Yorkshire. This town is an excellent launching pad for those who wish to explore the magnificent North Yorkshire National Moors, as well as those who have been bitten by the retail therapy bug, with two market days each week, as well as a variety of highstreets stores, pubs and restaurants to discover. The town has a rich history, which stems from the Roman occupation and the Roman military stations once present in the area, through to the Battle of the Standard in 1138 when the English defeated an army of invading Scottish, ensuring the safety of Northern England.

We love Northallerton because...

  • Market town
  • Variety of attractions
  • Close links to nature
