Arundel is an historic town, full of real English character – and The Norfolk Arms Hotel is right at home amongst it all. First built by the Duke of Norfolk in the 18th century, the hotel is a former Georgian coaching inn, which today retains much of its original features. With traditional fixtures and furnishings, from the staircase and cornicing to the floral wallpaper and ornate light fittings, the overall effect is a hotel that’s full of age-old charm – and an ideal hotel for relaxing leisure breaks in West Sussex.
The Arun Restaurant offers a formal, but comfortable dining experience, in a room that offers traditional décor and furnishings, with touches of period styling, coupled with a menu full of classic British dishes crafted from local ingredients wherever possible.
The hotel’s bar is quiet and casual, with wood panelling on the walls and a stone fireplace, ideal for enjoying a local ale or glass of wine with friends. In the lounge, guests will find a comfortable and classically decorated space, which is perfect for enjoying an indulgent afternoon tea or a quick bite from the lounge menu.
