Erskine

This relaxing town lies in a fortunate location, on the outskirts of Glasgow, with easy access to the international Glasgow Airport and the city centre. There are plenty of attractions nearby, including Braehead Shopping Centre and Xscape, Scotland’s only indoor ski slope. The beautiful scenery of Loch Lomond is also only a short drive away and features some of the most spectacular landscapes in the country.

Boden Boo is well worth a visit for its beautiful wooded expanse, which contains two miles of paths to explore, as well as Erskine beach - which is the ideal spot for an ice cream and a leisurely stroll. The Newshot Island Nature Reserve is also nearby, a salt marsh beside the River Clyde which is a hotspot for birds of all kinds and a fantastic spot for some wildlife watching.

We love Erskine because...

  • Near Glasgow city
  • Indoor ski slope close
  • Loch Lomond boat trips
