Banff

Situated on Banff Bay, on the North Sea coast of Aberdeenshire, this wee town has stunning views of the Moray Firth coastline. Glenfiddich Distillery

One of the greatest Speyside single malt Scotch whiskies and known all around the world, the independent distillery of Glenfiddich has proudly produced whisky since 1886. The ancient traditions of distilling and aging are all respected with small, handmade copper pot stills in use and the ethos of the founder William Grant still applied today, five generations later. Take a tour and learn about how the spirit is produced from mash, to bottle, before tasting the fruits of the labour with dram or two.

Duff House

Set in beautiful parkland, this spectacular early Georgian mansion was designed by William Adam for the Earl of Fife. Now under ownership of the National Galleries of Scotland, it is open to the public. Here you can learn about the history of the local area, marvel at the impressive architecture and examine the extravagant interior, which features many paintings, artefacts and examples of Georgian furniture.

Museum of Banff

One of the oldest museums in Scotland, founded in 1828, this museum and library houses artefacts from many time periods, from the ancient Picts, up to the modern times. Learn about the proud history and culture of the local area and its inhabitants. Throughout the year, the museum plays host to numerous interesting exhibitions, which cover a range of subjects.
