Glen Garioch Distillery

This quaint distillery opened its doors back in 1797, making it one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland as well as the most easterly. This distillery produces small batches of single malt Scotch whisky, in a traditional and painstaking process. The barley used is among the finest in Scotland, with this area of Aberdeen known as ‘the granary of Scotland’. Take part in one of the guided tours and learn more about this unique distillery and taste the final product.

Aberdeen Maritime Museum

The city has a long relationship with the sea, from the earliest fishing industry to shipbuilding and the more recent oil exploration. Discover it all at this well-presented museum. Aberdeen Art Gallery

The building itself is a work of art, and a stunning example of Victorian style, but the real attractions lie inside, with an excellent permanent collection that includes works both from the local area and much further afield. Housed in an excellent example of 19th century architecture, this gallery presents an excellent permanent collection as well as regular special exhibitions.
