Directions to Fonab Castle
Fonab Castle is beautifully situated on the banks of Loch Faskally, near Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands.
By car - For guests arriving by car, take the A9 north from Edinburgh or Glasgow and follow signs to Pitlochry. From there, continue toward Loch Faskally on Foss Road, where you’ll find Fonab Castle.
Parking - Our car park is located at the hotel entrance on a level, tarmac surface. We also have a drop-off point at the front door where our Concierge can assist with unloading luggage.
By train - If you’re traveling by train, Pitlochry Station is a convenient option with regular services from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, and it’s only a short taxi ride to our Pitlochry spa hotel.

Fonab Castle Hotel is less than a 30-minute walk from the heart of Pitlochry. The route is picturesque, leading you across the Port-na-Craig footbridge and by the iconic Pitlochry Dam and fish ladder.
This pleasant walk provides convenient access to the town’s shops, cafes, and local attractions while allowing you to enjoy the quiet, secluded setting of the castle grounds.
While much of the local area around Loch Faskally is beautiful for leashed walks, many of the surrounding forest trails in Perthshire are perfect for well-behaved dogs.
